About the Kennels

We have 22 kennels in total, all with individual, covered outside runs. Your dog will have access to the outside run from 7.30am to 9.30pm.

The kennels range in size from single to large family size for three or more dogs.

All dogs are walked individually, unless from the same family, twice daily (morning and afternoon) along the quiet lane next to our kennels.

The dogs are also taken out on to the grass in the evening, for toilet purposes, before being put to bed for the night.

There is someone on the premises at all times, and the dogs are checked on a regular basis.

Our kennels have heat lamps for cooler nights and during really cold weather, or for elderly dogs, the heaters are kept on 24 hours a day.

Beds and cosy veterinary bedding are supplied for your dogs comfort. However, you are more than welcome to bring anything you feel will make your dog feel more at home (apart from squeaky toys).

We have a selection of complete and tinned food, although if your pet is on any special diet, it is advisable that you bring a supply of their food in with them.

We try to keep to your dogs normal routine as far as possible, therefore if you normally feed twice daily, then we will do the same.

We are able to administer medication if required, and are able to cater for diabetic animals who require insulin injections.

We are unable to accept any dog which is not fully up to date with vaccinations (including kennel cough vaccine), or any dog suffering from any contagious or infectious condition.

HYGIENE

The kennels and runs are cleaned and disinfected every day, using Trigene disinfectant. Trigene is safe for animal use and whilst it is expensive, we feel that your pets safety is worth the cost.

Bedding is checked twice daily and replaced with clean if necessary.

Food bowls are washed and disinfected daily.

Water is changed daily and constantly refreshed during the day.
